"What curriculum should I use for...?"
This question, "What curriculum should I use for...?" is really popular right now as I write this (end of August). Especially from those starting to homeschool.

The thing is, you don't need a curriculum. People think that having a curriculum automatically makes things easier, but it doesn't always. It means it's something else to fit into your schedule. If your kids don't like it, it's something else for them to resist doing. It can require more planning and prep.

I think most homeschooling moms who feel like they need a curriculum, rather than using it as a tool, think that as they make their way through the curriculum, it'll show them that they're doing enough or giving their kids what they "need". Or at least it'll make them feel that way.

For now, I'm going to leave you with 2 things:

1) Feelings aren't facts.

2) A curriculum is a tool, not a requirement.

Until next time,

Daisy
